MSF Fundraiser design

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are an international, medical humanitarian organisation with over 60,000 staff working in 77 countries around the world. They offer basic healthcare, perform surgery, address epidemics, rehabilitate and run hospitals and clinics, carry out vaccination campaigns, operate nutrition centres, provide mental healthcare and offer training to local medical staff.

As part of their fundraiser event marketing, I was requested to create a new design for their tent walls along with a timeline design that could be wrapped around big inflatable cans. These designs had the aim of educating and inspiring their audience, and as a storytelling tool within their fundraising.

The Timeline

The timeline shows the history of MSF from when it was founded in 1971, to their present day operations. We used text and illustrated highlights to educate the public about their different responses and programs through the years.

This is the concept sketch with suggested text placements as well as suggested imagery for the highlights.

The Map

The world map is intended for the tent wall of the fundraising tent. It features four profiles of MSF staff around the world, with a short text about them and the work they are doing.

This is the map concept sketch with suggested profile placements.

The Timeline
